Carbon Harvest Energy has assembled an outstanding team of professionals, predominantly from Vermont, with many years of experience developing landfill gas-to-energy and other renewable energy projects here and throughout the U.S..
Carbon Harvest Energy, LLC based in Burlington, serves as the project developer, landfill project specialist and agricultural integration specialist. Along with strong team leadership and financial management skills, Carbon Harvest’s expertise is in project development and management, permitting and regulatory compliance, and designing and operating “closed loop” agricultural systems that strive to transform all waste streams into energy and feedstock, with the goals of zero waste, maximum efficiency and lowest carbon footprint.
With strong engineering capacity and landfill expertise, Carbon Harvest manages all aspects of project design and build-out. In addition to its own staff, Carbon Harvest’s project development team includes:
- Sanborn Head & Associates as the landfill gas engineering firm;
- SCS Engineers as the gas-to-energy system design/construction engineering firm;
- Shems, Dunkiel Raubvogel & Saunders, legal counsel and permit specialist;
- Merritt & Merritt & Moulton, business counsel and contracts;

Our algae culture research and development partners include:
- The University of Vermont Rubenstein School on biofuels feedstock research;
